ANSWERS

1. CUAJ is owned and operated by the Canadian Urological Association. The first issue of CUAJ was published in March 2007. back to top

2. In its first year of operation, CUAJ was published 4 times. As of 2008, the journal is published bi-monthly (6 times a year). back to top

3. The version of record is the online version. The online version contains the complete issue of CUAJ – including case reports.
As of June 2009, the print version does not include case reports. back to top

4. CUAJ is indexed on Thomson Reuters. It is also included on PubMed and full-text versions of every issue are available on PubMed Central and on the CUAJ website. back to top

5. CUAJ publishes original research, review articles, point-counterpoint (debate) articles, letters, commentaries, practice reviews, health policy reports, case reports and personal stories relevant to urology. back to top

Yes, if you feel your paper has profound and timely implications for patient care, you can request your paper be expedited through CUAJ’s review process or “fast-tracked.” To do this, please submit your abstract and a letter describing the timeliness of your paper to the Managing Editor at journal@cua.org. We will do our best to reply to your email within 48 hours. back to top

15. Our peer-reviewers are extremely committed to the review process at CUAJ. We do our best to complete the peer-review process and to give authors an initial decision within 3 weeks of submission. Please note that delays in the review process may ensue if the manuscript is not submitted in the correct format or is not submitted completely (i.e., missing references, figures or tables). back to top
